Our series of puppetry sessions, A Day To Remember, has now concluded and we are thrilled with how the project went. Funded by the Building Stronger Communities fund from East Sussex County Council, we undertook three sessions for various groups. We worked with seniors at Park Beck care home, Syrian families settling in Hastings through the Hastings Buddy Scheme, and children and families at The Bridge Community Centre, Ore. We covered several styles of puppetry, including shadow making and rod puppetry, and had fantastic feedback from the sessions.
"It was very enjoyable, entertaining and clever. Well done everyone!" Park Beck resident.
"Marvellous! The children really enjoyed themselves and learnt some new skills, too!" Lynsey, Hastings 'Buddy'.
"Excellent, creative, funny and messy. Enjoyed by all the family. Thank you." Sally-Ann, parent.
